To make this event successful, we rely heavily on a team of committed volunteers to serve in various capacities before, during, or after the event. We are currently seeking individuals to assist in the areas of construction, retail, transportation, food service, grounds keeping, mechanics, security, painting, medical services, plumbing, electrical, welding, and more to assist in setting up the camp before the event, conducting various activities during the event, and cleaning up afterward.
Volunteer Teams
Volunteer roles at National Rendezvous are available in both full-time and part-time capacities. Full-time volunteers serve in specific areas of need for the duration of the event and are typically given more extensive responsibilities while part-time volunteers serve for a limited period of time, such as 2 or 4 hours, and are then free to enjoy the remainder of the event as a regular camper.
Full-Time Volunteers
Full-time volunteer positions are available to those who can meet the qualifications below. There are limited slots available for each position. You may not be guaranteed to get your first choice of job. In fact, we may ask if you would be willing to do a different job because we have great need.
- Be an adult – 18 years of age or older – at of the start of the event.
- Be available to serve for the duration of the event. Specific dates of service will vary depending on the capacity in which you serve.
- Provide your own transportation to and from the event.
- Complete the Full-Time Volunteer Survey to the national office no later than June 16.
Full-time volunteers are required to register for Rendezvous but are not required to be FCF members or join FCF via the Frontier Adventure. However, if they are not currently member of FCF, they will not be allowed to participate in activities that are limited to FCF members and may be unable to participate in many other Rendezvous activities, depending on their responsibilities.
Full-time volunteers will receive a special volunteer hat and T-shirt(s) and will receive camper registration items. All meals are provided for full-time volunteers.
To apply for a full-time volunteer position, please complete the Full-Time Volunteer Survey.
Part-Time Volunteers
Part-time volunteers are needed to serve for limited time periods throughout this event. Part-time volunteers typically assist in areas, such as handing out registration items, running an activity, serving meals at the Rendezvous Café, or working in the Camp Store. Specific tasks and time slots available will be determined at the time of volunteer registration.
Part-Time volunteers must be registered as campers for Rendezvous and must be at least 14 years of age although some part-time volunteer duties may be limited to adult leaders only.
Part-time volunteers register for specific tasks during specific time periods at the volunteer registration area at Rendezvous. Tasks are assigned on a “first-come/first-served” basis and cannot be reserved in advance. Refer to the Campers Notebook (received at registration on site) for times and location for the part-time volunteer registration area.
